Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is Yoga?

A: Yoga is a 5,000 year old tradition passed down from generations.  The goal is to help live a better Mental, Physical and Spiritual centered life.  Yoga is NOT a religion so it won’t interfere with your personal religious believes.   Yoga is a very individual and non-competitive practice; all of us start a different level but with a regular and consistent practice will be able to grow at your own pace.

Q: Who can benefit from Yoga?

A: If any of the lists below applies to you, then you will benefit taking yoga classes;

  • High Blood Pressure
  • Compromised Immune System
  • Stress
  • Always Tired and Lethargic (Low in energy)
  • Injuries
  • Chronic Pain (Back Pain, Shoulders, Scoliosis, Joints, Improve Body Posture)
  • Weight Management
  • Trouble Sleeping
  • Lack of Flexibility
  • Depression

Q: Am I too old or Young to do Yoga?

A: “No” You are never too old, too young, too healthy, too weak, too fat, and too thin to do Yoga.  Now day’s parents do yoga with their toddlers and teens and some people are doing yoga way into their silver years. I would find out which of your local Yoga Studios offers some of these special classes.

Q: Are ALL Yoga classes the same?

A: “No” Although the core philosophy is the same, the classes are not.  There are several popular styles which are been taught, depending on your physical level I would start taking different styles which best suits you.  The level all vary from gentle (Restorative) to a more physical style of yoga.
